We began the way most good Indian labels do — in a showroom, on a shop floor, listening to what women actually asked for and rarely found. Kurtis that held their shape after the tenth wash. Co-ord sets that looked considered, not costume. Kidswear soft enough that nobody had to be persuaded into it.

From our studio at Vijay House in New Vadaj, Ahmedabad, we still work that way. Every style begins as a fabric swatch on a table, gets argued over, gets cut, gets worn for a week by someone on our team, and only then earns a place in the collection.

Fabric is where a garment is won or lost. We source cotton for its breathability and its recovery — the way it returns to shape rather than sagging at the knee and elbow. Rayon and viscose blends are picked for drape, so a co-ord set falls cleanly instead of clinging.

Colours are checked for bleed before a single metre is cut. Trims, buttons and zips are specified rather than left to the tailor’s discretion. It is unglamorous, invisible work — and it is the entire difference between a kurti you keep and one you quietly stop reaching for.

Small batches, close supervision.

We produce in controlled runs rather than flooding a warehouse. It keeps our quality checks meaningful, our inventory honest, and our collections genuinely seasonal instead of endlessly repeated.

Working out of Ahmedabad — one of India’s oldest textile centres — means our cutting floor, our fabric market and our finishing units are within reach of each other. Problems get solved in person, the same day.
